Week 32 - Sudies

Welcome back for another week!! The adventure was cut a little short this week due to unpredicted weather, malfunctions and a short stop at a neighbouring village. Luckily there seems to be some better weather forecast in the near future and no foreseeable distractions. So I shall be able to dig deeper into the jungle.

This weeks adventure for me has being a week of a lot of obstacles. So come and join me on the adventure.

Study 1 - Photo Reference

Yay now I have finished this one I will well and truly be on my way to the next one. only 87 to go!!!

Study 2 - Colour light study 

Onto some hands now. Well they will look like hands shortly. Not like pale sausages.

Study 3 - Life Drawing

Another bunch of life drawing accomplished and another lot with males. Learning more and more about male anatomy now. So it's getting easier to be able to see which is which. Progression is key!!

Study 4 - Animal Study

Now  he has a belly I shall be moving onto working on that last leg. Then He shall be completed.

Study 7 - Facial Expressions 

More expressions this is my second favourite part of my entire week. I love it I tells you I love it. :D  

Study 8 - Humans in Action 

These are turning out a lot better then I expected and a lot better then what I did the first time around. :D Another tick for progress.

Study 9 - Motion Study

Wanted to see more drawings of girls contorting themselves. Well here they are. This by far my favourite study. I might say this every week but I can't help but tell the truth.

Study 10 - Still a secret

More random but completely interesting people. :D 

Study 12 - spitpaint/ Environment study 

Another 30mins in and I have a little bit more formed soon I shall be misses speedy. Today not so much. :) 

You might have noticed content has got a little thinner the last two weeks. There is in fact a really good reason for this and that is instead of producing more work I decided to spend a little more time refining my pieces. It means not as much get accomplished but it makes for a cleaner and better result. So don't worry I am not slowly abolishing out content I am just taking more time to smell the flowers.

Keep tuned next week for an update on my illustration. I know I was going to get it done this week but I got bogged down with everything else this week that I just found out I run out of time. Dam that clock always ticking on and on and forever.

Week 31 - Studies

Welcome to another week's journey. It has being a busy on full of new adventures and explorations. I have to say I have learned some lessons and this week has being one to take a step back and smell the flowers. Appreciate the now rather then stress about the future or the past. They are things that you have no control over. Everything is about making accomplishments no matter how small they are and appreciating the positive people around you.

So I would like to introduce to you the journey of my discovery this week and to enjoying a the little things in life. 

Study 1 - Photo Study 

Yippy more accomplished this week on her. Should be moving on soon to another one. That will be another exciting day for me. 

Study 2 - Colour and light studies 

Getting really close to completion on this one some more jewellery to add and then to work more on the lace of her top some finishing touches and she will be completed. Almost there.

Study 3 - Life Drawing 

Another week down and another male and female completed. The good thing I am seeing now is that if you look at them you well be able to actually pick out the male and the female. Yep will you look at that I have managed to learn the difference between male and female. Well its never too late is it. :) 

Study 4 - Animal study 

Now he is only missing 2 pieces away from being completed. Yay I will be happy to have him finished and onto some more drawings. All I got to say is that having to work on that much hair is not fun but also I learned a lot from it so not all bad. 

Study 5 - Shhh still a secret

Study 6 - Anatomy 

Now I have completely moved away from feet this is going to be a hand only zone. So here you go a bunch more hands to look at. Oh yeah soon you won't be able to remember the days of feet.

Study 7 - Facial Expression 

Tried a new technique. Way successful. High fived myself. 

Study 8 - Humans in action 

I am continuing on refining and re-working the original sketches. So here is this weeks collection. 

Study 9 - Motion study 

Yay back to seeing more girls twist themselves into the most imposable positions. Oh I gotta say that it makes for some interesting drawings. 

Study 10 - Shhhhhhhh nothing here 

Study 11 - HONY People 

More interesting people and more sketches done. YAY!! As well as continuing the new drawing style too. Which work well with this too. 

Study 12 - Spitapaint/enviroment study 

So another 30 mins into doing this study and this is the result still have a long way to go but progress is progress. 

Phew that is all me for this week next week I should have an update for my current illustration in progress.

Week 30 - studies + WIP

Hi welcome back for another week. This week has being a big adventure and a lot of hard work. Working through a mountain of things on my to do list and fighting against the clock that is constantly ticking. Its more than a battle of wits. Its also a battle of endurance to how long you can hold up that pen/pencil until your hand starts to fight you too. Its like the crunch of getting work done slowly corrupts parts of your body and they start fighting against you. On guard!!! Too bad there is no bring you sword to work day. I would like to get in a little sword fight with my computer. Unhand me you foul beast!!!

Ok so back on the journey at hand. This week I managed to grind my pencil down to a stub and then  have chosen a new victim to ensue the masses of paper I consume in my never ending journey to make terrible squiggly lines into well not so terrible squiggly lines. So please take a moment to remember all the beautiful bits of paper that were so pretty get destroyed and then travelled on a great journey to become renewed in the fountain of recycling. Then also the not so lucky pieces of paper that then made the journey from my desk to be shredded up and become bedding in the tiny beasts lair by the name of socks. So he can stuff in in his nest and cuddle up and keep nice and warm and on the odd occasion pee happily onto.

You have gone of track again I hear you say. Well let me happily put you on the right track and down the journey of studies.

Study 1 - Photo studies

Through this chapter I finished a new one. Oh and what's that I have also started a new one. Yep that is right everybody that was griping to their chairs you have in fact seen now 16 finished drawings since I started. Aren't you mind blown by this revelation. I think you have being. Now unfortunately I have to leave you on another cliff hanger because you need to tune into next week for the next instalment of drawing 17.

Study 2 - Light and Colour study

You know when you are so close to something you can almost feel it. Well this is what I feel about this study. I am so close to finishing this one. In a few more sessions this one will in fact be completed and then I can move onto the next one. Yay!!

Study 3 - Life Drawing

This week I continued on with doing a female and a male study. Now there seems to be something about the male models always having  long luscious hair so therefore looking kind of like a bit more of a butch female. So I am going to to label them so you defiantly know which one is which. Just ignore all text if you don't want to know which is which and you will be surprised.

Study 4 - Animal study

Just the bottom half to go, some finishing touches and this guy will be at completion. Then it will be onto some of the more extensive studies of this guy.

Study 5 - Shhhh still a secret.

Promising you that something will be here soon or will there. Dun-Dun-Duhnnnnn

Study 6 - Anatomy

Feet, feet more feeeeett. Feet, feet everywhere. Oh wait. These aren't feet they are hands. Yes that's right I did in fact branch out my study now focusing on hands. So expect in the near future a constant flow of hands on my blog and why not? Hands are a big from of expression and action. It is always good to do some studies of hands.

Just in case you have missed all the feet over the weeks here is the collection of them just so you don't feel disappointed.

Study 7 - Facial Expressions

Faces faces everywhere where do they stop. They don't they are never going to stop a long as I keep finding images I am keep going to do them.

Study 8 - Human in Action

So since I completed all the images I had and also since I said I would go to 50 and I am now well past that I thought it was finally time to go to the next stage of the humans in action refining the body. I have chosen 35 of them to push forward with and have started working on them again. The next stage is to refine them from the block figures and start adding added details.

My favourite of the week. I love this one so much just because of the video I have being watching as reference has completely blown my mind. I wish I could what they do and so quickly.

So I decided I wanted to finish this environment off so I decided to put another 30 mins in with the same aim trying to get as much done in the 30 mins as possible. Lets just say I am not use to such speed.

Now I have gone through all my studies I am going to give you guys an update on the WIP illustration I am doing. I showed you the starting of it two weeks ago well now I am showing you part of the final outlines.

I have a lot of work cut out for me on this one. More then I have aimed to accomplish before but it is going to be fun to work on and push me more than I have done before.
